CHRIS PETERSON For the man who brought us the NCAA basketball tournament, another one; and maybe this time he and his staff won't be so spent. Because the first one was nothing but great, the next one and maybe more, are our fate.
STEVE SHIELDS The Trojans basketball coach has met the challenges head on, his team is improving and their skills he will hone. The Sun Belt Tournament is in Hot Springs, let that help sprout March Madness wings. JOE FOLEY His motion offense is just the best, and he teaches the UALR women a defense that makes them a pest. He's got one division championship and another in sight; and if injuries he avoids, there will be no slip.
DEAN LEE The ASU Red Wolves have had some lows; give him some relief from those academic woes.
JOHN BRADY Came into a tough situation in place of a coach well liked, but he's got the Red Wolves playing without undue psyche. TOMMY TUBERVILLE He walked away from Auburn with his head held high; in less than a year he'll be back and that's no lie.
CLINT CONQUE He won a championship for UCA on the field, even though he was told it was a title he had to yield; everyone knows in the Southland they were the best, and all the others were just the rest.
BRAD TEAGUE To UCA's athletic leader, let success continue to be his meter.
